I hope everyone is enjoying their summer and finding ways to stay cool and have some fun!
BOMA GTB’s call for Board of Director nominations is due July 25th.
- There is one (1) open seat for an Allied (service provider/vendor) Member for January 1, 2026-December 31, 2027.
- There are two (2) open seats for Principal (Property Management employees) Members for January 1, 2026-December 31, 2027.
- There is one (1) non-voting open seat for an Emerging Professional for January 1, 2026-December 31, 2026. This is open to a Principal BOMA GTB member with less than seven (7) years’ experience in the commercial real estate industry.

Property Managers, Don’t Miss Out on the TOBY Awards!
Time is running out to enter your building in the local TOBY Awards competition. The deadline is July 31, but if you submit your entry by July 28, you’ll be entered into a special contest (details below). Advocacy/Government Affairs Committee

We are excited to announce that all our hard work lobbying in Tallahassee has finally paid off. On June 30, 2025, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis signed bills implementing the state’s $117.4 billion budget for fiscal year 2025-2026. The budget includes $2 billion in tax relief for Florida families, seniors, and businesses. Included in the budget was HB 7031 which permanently eliminates the sales tax on commercial leases beginning October 1, 2025. It is estimated that this will save Florida businesses approximately $900 million annually.
BOMA’s Legislative Action Center has a pre-written letter supporting the Energy Star program to send to Congress. Please send the link below out to your peers asking them to echo BOMA’s words on Capitol Hill by signing up and sending a letter. Every letter counts.
